Happy St. Patrick's Day

Wow there was so much going on today I don't know where to begin.   I will start with last night after dinner.  There was a Lucky Fortune Fair as you entered there was a panda handing out velvet pouches with fortune cookies inside.  There were all kinds of games to be played.  Bill did well I didn't do good.  I tried almost all of them.  One of the hardest ones was the golf.  You had to hit a golf ball from a velcro patch and it had to land on the velcro in the bullseye.  Bill came close I couldn't do well so I told John (the golf pro) I was left handed.  Did a little better.  we walked all around and tried all the games including the dunking tank.  Well it wasn't really a tank but it was a bull's eye and if you hit it a water balloon exploded on the person under it.  Josef the hotel director was up first and he was ready he put on a shower cap.  Someone did dunk him.  Next up was the captain and both Bill and I tried but could not get him.  Finally up was Rick Spath, cruise director at that point I was not going to climb the steps again but Bill did try and Rick looked at me and asked me if Bill played pro ball he threw the ball so fast.  As it was gearing down we passed John and his golf booth and asked us to try again.  So we waited our turn and Bill went and then I went and the first shot ( you got three chances) I couldn't even get it off the ground.  As I was getting ready to take the second shot I said to John "Golf is not my game and just swung the club and the all went up in the air and landed smack in the middle of the bulls eye!!!  I was the first one of the evening to win.  I got a lovely bottle of wine with a cute coverup!  John said he was very impressed with it landing smack in the middle!  Gave me a good laugh as it was the first thing I won all evening.  They were serving goodies, beer and wine all evening also.

Today St. Patrick's day they had an Irish Comedian and then they had an Irish Sing along in the Ave. Saloon with Colin Slather he is a great piano player.

After that they had an Irish Fiddler in the Crystal Cove with dancing.
Even though it was St. Paddy's day we had an Italian dinner.  Augusto made us his famous eggplant parmigana and Caesar salad.  I did have Irish Potato Soup for lunch and an Irish toffee pudding for dessert!
Tomorrow we will be in Shanghai and have an early morning tour so I am going to sign off and go to bed.
