HON GAI, VIETNAM
HA LONG BAY
VIETNAM’S NATURAL WONDER
DUE EAST OF HANOI
Today we did not want to trek 2+ hours on a bus to see Hanoi.  We opted for the Junk Boat ride around Ha Long Bay were we were anchored.
It was cold, damp and cloudy.  Now I see why North Vietnam wanted South Vietnam.  We went down over 35 degrees in one day.  Brr.  I must get my cold clothes out of storage!
The “Junk Cruise” pulled right up to another boat that was attached to us like a platform so all we had to do was walk down the flight of tender steps onto a platform then onto this boat.  Our friend Harold was with us on this tour.  Carol gets sea sick so she did not go with us.  It was 8:30 to 12:00.  It was very nice and would have been beautiful if the sun was shinning.  in 1994 this was declared "A Natural heritage site of worldwide importance" it became a UNESCO site.

We dropped anchor last night around 5pm.  Kudos to Capt Glenn as it was so foggy you could not see out the window and he got us in safely.  We were not allowed to get off the ship till this am.  We enjoyed this tour but it is hours later and I am still COLD.

Just wanted to say again what a great time we had again at dinner last night with Harold, Carol and Elise.  We had so many laughs!!!!!  I can't believe that they will be getting off in a couple of days and we will be starting our 4th segment....... Time is just flying by it is amazing!!!!!!!

We have been resting and will met Carol and Harold at 7:30 for the show this evening then dinner.  After dinner there is a special Dixieland Jazz concert in the Avenue saloon.  So much to do so little time.

Well I have only heard from one of you about my massage experience so I think no one is reading my blog!
So Good night and God Bless!
