Good Evening from Hong Kong
I went today and had my final fitting and picked up the three piece suit and dress and jacket I had made in Hong Kong. First time I ever had to have something taken in. This was done quickly the only problem was they did not make the collar on the jacket right so they are making me a new jacket and will ship it to me so I will have two jackets to wear with the dress one that is dressier than the other. It was not as cold today as it has been. Monday was so cold and rainy, yesterday was just cloudy today was a little nicer. Since we had seen so much we decided to head back to the ship after we picked up the clothes so that was what we did. We had lunch in Tastes as it was too late for the dining room or Lido. Bill is having his cigar and I am doing my blog.
Last night we were both so exhausted that we came back to the cabin, showered and changed into our night clothes and ordered dinner in. We were going to watch some of the DVD's that Bill bought in Vietnam for $5. but we couldn't figure out the DVD player and I was just too tired to get out of bed. We had dinner sent up and had a great night's sleep. We set sail at 10:00pm tonight for Xiamen China. We did have a three day overland tour set up but cancelled it It conflicted with the World Cruise special event in Shanghai. We will meet with James or Debbie later tonight and decide what to see in Xiamen instead!
This is the 4th segment of the World cruise with only one more after this. Bill does not like Hong Kong and these last couple of days mixed with the grey skies has him ready to leave the ship but I know once we set sail and he has his golf lessons tomorrow he will be better. He is truly looking forward to Japan! He did really enjoy our Chinese food at lunch yesterday and when we got back to the ship he said "Why didn't we go back and have lunch there again" Too late now!
The Queen Elizabeth ship was docked right in town today. We hear they are building a new ship terminal and they really need it it has been hard doing the ferry for anyone who has any physical limitations!! The shuttle yesterday was not as hard.
Anyway it is time to bid goodbye to Hong Kong and set sail for China and Japan!!
Hope all is well with you all
