Kodiak Alaska
Today we were in Kodiak, Alaska this is a quaint fishing town. Much bigger than Dutch Harbor and I had cell phone service!!!! Yay! We took the tender over it was cold but no wind so that was better didn’t feel as cold. We did have some snow flurries, we walked around the town and a car with two ladies stopped to ask if I wanted a ride. We were headed just down the street to the cigar shop only problem they didn’t open till nighttime. We went into a cute little coffee shop and there were some of the crew in there. We spoke with some local people two who were Priests from the Russian Orthodox Church. As I am writing this we have set sail for our next port of call tomorrow Seward, Alaska. It is really scenic here and as long as it doesn’t rain I can handle it.
We did not do a tour today as I had asked James and he advised us not to as it might be too cold for me. So we went into town and went into a few shops. We were back on the ship in time for lunch. Seward is a large city so I am looking forward to seeing that.
The good news is I got to speak with Chris, Melissa, Luke, Katrina, Logan, and Drew. All of the kids and grandkids so that was special. Logan had his first T-ball practice today and he read me a book!!!! Katrina says 11 days is still too long for us to be away. Drew was telling me what the Easter Bunny brought him. So it was great. And we even spoke with Luke who spent Easter with Chris, Melissa and the kids with Melissa’s parents, Mary and John.
So until tomorrow. It does not get dark here until almost 10pm... Been closing down Pulse with Karaoke. Need to sleep. Oh only 11 more days and then back to Reality......
Not sure, but they tell me reality bites....
We have set sail to our next port of call and wanted to get this up before we have trouble with the internet!
Good night and God Bless
