@ Sea en route to Kodiak, Alaska
We watched the Morning Show this morning with Rick and Elise and Bill won two trivia prizes. Hockey questions!!! He knew the two movie ones but didn't call in. He didn't want to be greedy!
After breakfast, Bill went to the two morning lectures and I met up with the "girls". Pat is sick so she wasn't there, but, we meet everyday have coffee, tea, work on our computers (blogs) and shoot the breeze.
Since yesterday we were in port they had an Easter Gala Buffet today and they did an awesome job from the ice carving of the Easter Bunny with his egg to the desserts. All the little desserts had white chocolate eggs and rabbits. The food was great.
Tonight was the Crystal Society Party and a lot of people reached milestones. One Lady Pauline, Bill referred to her as the Babe Ruth of Crystal she is on her 290th cruise!!!!! No one will catch her. She is on till June then will goes home for a couple of weeks and catchs up with the Symphony and starts on there till the end of the year! Captain Glen has the best sense of humor. Since we could not go to Russia (Petropolvesk) because of the weather we had 7 straight sea days before we hit Dutch Harbor yesterday his comment tonight at the party was "Isn't it nice to have another sea day"
It was a great formal dinner French night and the production show is one that we have not seen for a long time called Million Dollar Musicals. We enjoyed it immensely. After the show I went to Karaoke and Bill went for his cigar. We have two port days in a row. Tomorrow is Kodiak, Alaska and the next day is Seward, Alaska. We got two invitations. One last night to a World Cruise Event in the Yukon and for Thursday a Back of the House Tour and Waffles. We have been so busy. With the World Cruise winding down there is so much to fit in. Well I am hoping that my cell phone will work in Kodiak. According to the Verizon website it should. There was no service in Dutch Harbor. So until tomorrow night I am going to bed and rest up. Rick told us they pulled up the weather from 4 different places and all four of them were different forcasts. That's how fast it can change!!! Wind, rain, snow, sleet is all in the forcast. We will see what is what tomorrow.
Good night and God Bless
